About the Work Dead

During an upgrade of ticket-machine provider for the university inter-site busservice; it became possible to get xml data from the 3-4 buses. Initially we were encouraged to simply plot the location on a google map, but due to the spread of our campuses, then it wasn't really a useable method. Inspired by underground location display in Turkey; we wanted to apply their location to a linear line for easier perception of where their next bus is located.
This information is displayed on both our digital signage screen around campus and also being utilised within the university iPhone app.

It was decommisioned after change of contractor. Functionality still exists elsewhere.
