About the Work Live
The projects was developed with an academic from Kingston University and a Phd student from UCL to better understand 'Charcot-Marie-Tooth' - one of the hereditary motor and sensory neuropathies of the peripheral nervous system characterized by progressive loss of muscle tissue and touch sensation across various parts of the body. By tracking participants level of Exercise, general Activities and Falls the system allowed the research to locate connection that was previously assumed.
The mobile app was unique to the participant withiout requirement for logging in and delaying the process of adding data into the system. Some algorithm helped the researcher to gain quick insight into the progress during the 10week research programme.
Nice touch
It is great to see some participants making more than 1000 data entries within a 10week periods. It helped them better understand their condition and finding a better way to avoid falls.
