About the Work Live
The 'SpLD assesment screening' forms part of the Disabilty and Mental Health portal. Students approaching the Disabilty team are encouraged to complete an online screening process to give themselves and staff an indication if further action is required. The form is based on scientific research and offload lots of one-to-one early contact and time can be prioritised to studnet with higher level of support requirement. An indepth questionaire can often feel overwhelming to complete especially with students who are likely to already suffer a disability or mental helath issue, so simplicity was key.
Nice touch
Making a complex questionaire 'approachable' for vulnerable users gives me great pleasure.
