About the Work Live

Every year 3-400 students apply for studying or working abroad as part of their degree. To optimise an existing form and improve the work methods of the exchange office; I developed a back-end to allow a smoother and quicker application process. The application goes from being submitted through a form, which is protected by the university Access Manager system to allows us to ensure they are Kingston university students or staff. Their login then provides me with specific personal details; which in turn can speed up the application proceed, and limit the information the applicant requires to fill in. After the form submission the application can be forwarded from within the system to the relevant course leader, who can approve or decline their application online..

Nice touch

Keeping the approval/declining process online made the process from receiving the application to final decision much quicker.
